Truck and Engine on Two Different City Fires
Mon, Jul 8th, 2013 5:14:00 pm - A little after midnight on Monday July 8th Truck 34 was dispatched to standby at HFD Station 2. Truck 34(Bowerman) went on the street with 7 men but shortly after DCCC came back and said that the truck was to respond to the scene (2042 Susquehanna St.)  and go to work per Chief 4. As Truck 34 was approaching the scene they had to work their way around five inch and move a couple cop cars to get the truck into position behind Tower1, the truck crew arrived on scene assisting getting ground ladders to the fire building and getting the stick to the alpha/delta corner. Four men went to the roof to perform a trench cut to help stop the progression of the fire from going any further, the truck crew also assisted with overhaul and salvage on this scene.

An hour into the Susquehanna Street fire another City box came in only two blocks away on Penn Street, with most of the county units on the Susquehanna Street fire tied up DCCC sent the standby units and also hit for other units including Engine 34 to respond. Engine 34(Noell) responded with 3 and was assigned to lay into the rear of the building and supply Perry Tower 2, the Engine crew also asstisted with fire attack, overhaul and throwing ground ladders.
